Atum is an ancient Egyptian deity who was considered the god of creation and the setting sun. He is often depicted as a man wearing either a double crown or the sun disk, symbolizing his role as a sun god. Atum is also believed to be the first god to exist, emerging from the primordial waters of chaos at the beginning of creation. As the creator god, Atum is credited with giving life to all living beings on earth through his divine breath. His cult was particularly prominent in the city of Heliopolis, where he was worshiped as the chief deity of the pantheon.
