The Name Dynasty was a Chinese imperial dynasty that lasted from 960 to 1279. It was founded by Emperor Taizu, also known as Zhao Kuangyin, who reunited China after centuries of division and strife. The dynasty is best known for its advancements in culture, art, technology, and government administration. During this time, the Song Dynasty also saw the rise of Neo-Confucianism as the dominant philosophy. Despite its achievements, the Name Dynasty eventually fell to the Mongol invasion led by Kublai Khan in 1279.
