Icarus is a Greek mythological figure known for his tragic tale of flying too close to the sun. He is the son of master craftsman Daedalus and is often depicted as a young man with wings made of feathers and wax. Despite his father's warnings, Icarus became too overconfident in his abilities and soared too close to the sun, causing the wax to melt and him to fall into the sea and drown. The story of Icarus is often used as a cautionary tale about the consequences of hubris and recklessness. His name has since become synonymous with ambition and the dangers of flying too close to the sun.
